Quick start
Press START, choose a hero and stage. Move with the pad, attack with 1 and jump with 2. In boss exchanges, select an action with the pad, charge with 1 and confirm the timing with 2.

Action stages: pad move, 1 attack, 2 jump. Boss exchanges: pad action selection, 1 charge and 2 timing confirmation. START: begin/pause. Read the boss prompts because their controls differ from the scrolling stages.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Horobishimono no Gyakushuu for Game Gear combines a scrolling brawler with a different kind of boss fight. Choose from Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama and Hiei, then move through enemies and platform hazards. Keep a clear landing area when jumping, and avoid letting attackers surround you while you focus on a single target. At the end of a stage, combat shifts to a rear-view exchange where attack selection, charging and timing matter more than moving around the arena. Watch the opponent during defense and choose your opening rather than repeating the action-stage rhythm. Different heroes give you reasons to revisit a route, while the original story leads toward the tower confrontation.
