Controls

Giana Sisters DS combines precise side-scrolling jumps with hidden red jewels. Reaching the flag clears a stage, but finding its required red jewels changes the completion flag and helps open bonus stages. Punk Giana can throw fireballs at enemies; soda breaks obstructing blocks and bubblegum helps her float past awkward gaps. Decide whether to risk a ledge for a jewel or secure the ordinary finish first. Start with movement and enemy stomps, then learn each acquired item's DS prompt before attempting a more demanding route. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge.
