How to Play Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu
Quick start
First, check the position and movement power of all fleets, and instead of having them project far away alone, multiple fleets should proceed together to a nearby base. Please conduct a "reconnaissance" on an unknown planet first to check the enemy's strength, supply, and repair availability. After the move, replenish food and energy, and let the fatigued fleet rest in a safe place. When you encounter an enemy, compare the seven formations on the left and right, and select the one that matches the reconnaissance information with A. After the battle, do not let the damaged fleet continue to fight, but review the status of all troops in the next day's list before issuing the next command.
Controls
Cross button up and down: Command selection. Up/Down/Left/Left: Select the destination planet. Left and right before battle: Switch formations. A button: Confirm, display the next message after the flashing ▼. B button: Cancel. START: Start the game. After the battle begins, you do not directly control the fleet, but instead watch the results based on the chosen formation and pre-conditions.
Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu — About this game
The Famicom version of ``Legend of the Galactic Heroes'' is a strategy simulation in which players command the imperial army led by Reinhardt and Kircheis and advance the battle against the Free Planets Alliance. Players decide the destinations and actions of their 11 fleets, scout each planet, and capture enemy fleets and bases. Movement power, energy, food, fatigue level, and damage are set for each fleet, and it is necessary to judge whether to return to a replenishing star or repair base. Before battle, choose your formation from seven types, and the number of fleets, fatigue, damage, and advance reconnaissance information will affect the outcome. Once a battle begins, direct control is no longer possible, so preparations before contact and coordinating the arrival times of multiple fleets will determine victory or defeat.
