Double Smash uses a ground monster below and a flying partner above in side-scrolling battles. Choose a pair in Story, switch the active monster and combine high and low melee attacks with charged breath weapons. Defeated enemies and energy pickups help fill the surge meter for a powerful touch-triggered attack. Each screen brings different targets, so watch the partner's position rather than concentrating only on the lower route. Start with movement, one melee attack and a tag before spending a full charge on the first suitable target. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge.
