How to Play Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
Quick start
After the opening at Lookout Cabin, follow Matthew and Karis across Goma Plateau toward the cave. Follow its outer path and use Move on the earth pillar blocking the route; the tutorial assigns this Psynergy to L. Cross the cleared gap, replenish PP at the Psynergy Stone and continue out toward Tanglewood to search for Tyrell. Follow the adults' battle explanations as they appear.
Controls
D-pad moves; A talks, examines and confirms; B cancels; X opens field commands; Y changes the upper-screen display. L/R use assigned Psynergy shortcuts. Alternatively, touch and hold toward a destination to move, tap nearby people or objects to interact, and tap command icons to choose actions. Select attacks, Psynergy, Djinn, items and targets from battle menus; abilities depend on the current party and Djinn setup.
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn — About this game
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn follows a new generation of Adepts in a world reshaped by the return of Alchemy. Matthew and his companions use elemental Psynergy both in turn-based battles and while exploring: moving an obstacle can be just as important as defeating an enemy. Djinn add another layer to party building, since their assignment affects classes and available abilities, while using them can prepare powerful summons. Towns, ruins and environmental puzzles connect these systems into a journey across Weyard. The DS version supports button and stylus controls, letting you inspect nearby objects, choose commands and direct movement through the lower screen.
