How to Play Great Battle Pocket, The
Quick start
Begin the card-battle story and inspect the starting units. Choose three, check their reach and place them on the grid. In the first match, use a simple attack with a valid target and watch how position affects the result.
Controls
The D-pad selects cards, grid squares, commands and targets. A confirms or advances messages; B cancels or returns where permitted. Use the displayed attack, defend and item commands, checking range before confirming.
Great Battle Pocket, The — About this game
Choose a formation that gives each unit something useful to do rather than filling squares arbitrarily. Compare attack range with the opponent's placement, then decide whether to attack, defend or use an item. The turn limit rewards keeping units alive as well as defeating the other side. Review new cards between matches and consider how they fit the existing team before replacing a familiar unit.
