How to Play Grid
Quick start
Choose a starter vehicle and an early solo event. Learn acceleration and braking on the first straight, then slow before a corner and accelerate as the exit opens. Complete a clean run before pushing for a faster time, and compare one mistake with the next attempt.
Controls
Steer with the DS Control Pad; the default A and B inputs accelerate and brake. Watch the lower-screen minimap before a corner. In the track editor, choose pieces or draw with the stylus, adjust the layout and test the circuit through its menu.
Grid — About this game
GRID on DS mixes circuit racing with event challenges and a track creator. Follow the lower-screen map to prepare for corners, brake before turning and avoid repeated impacts that hurt the car's performance. Race results build reputation and open more events. The editor changes the pace: choose track pieces or draw a layout, adjust details and try driving what you built. Begin with a short race and a clean lap before editing a simple loop. This version asks you to live with the race's mistakes rather than relying on a console-style flashback rewind. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
