How to Play Halley Wars

Quick start

Press START on the title, and when "PLEASE SET DISK B" is displayed, switch to side B and start. Use the D-pad to move the aircraft, and press B to fire lasers and side balls to quickly defeat enemies and comets. Pick up items from the meteorite, and when you have Gather, you can use A to clear the screen. I also want to check the damage display on Earth and use support before more shots are missed. Aim for the moment when the gate opens for the last enemy battleship in the area. If you want to restart from the same round after a game over, press START while holding down the left side of the I controller.

Controls

Cross key: Move the aircraft in eight directions. B: Fires laser and side ball. A: Fire the Gather you own to erase enemies and enemy bullets on the screen. Cannot be used if you do not have gathers. START: Start the game with the title and pause while playing. After the game is over, you can restart the game from that round by pressing left + START on the I controller.

Halley Wars — About this game

``Halley Wars'' is a shooting game about a disk system that dispatches a state-of-the-art spacecraft to destroy Halley's Comet, which has changed its trajectory toward Earth. Fight against enemies and falling comets in eight areas, and aim for the enemy battleship whose gate opens at the end. It is not enough for your aircraft to survive; enemies and comets that miss the bottom of the screen will cause damage to the Earth, and if the damage display reaches 100%, you will be defeated even if you have remaining aircraft. By destroying the meteorites along the way, strengthening items will appear, allowing you to gradually strengthen lasers, side balls, and movement speed. If you collect child ship gathers, you can also use attacks to wipe out enemies and bullets on the screen. While protecting the aircraft with a barrier, I would like to think about positioning to reduce missed shots and how to use support attacks.
