How to Play Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands
Quick start
Choose a boy or girl, set your names and follow the Ranch Island introduction. Accept Taro’s farming lesson and practise tilling, sowing turnips and watering a small plot. Use Menu → Diary to save. On Spring 10, or the first sunny day afterward, follow the shrine event on Meadow Island to meet Agete and begin the Sun Stone search. Sun Stone collection unlocks with this event.
Controls
Move with the D-pad. A confirms, talks and picks up items; B cancels, X opens the main menu and Y uses the active tool or item. START opens the rucksack and SELECT changes the map view. R cycles the four tool slots; L returns the active item to the rucksack. Stylus controls remain available, and Menu → Diary handles saves.
Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands — About this game
Sunshine Islands combines daily farm work with a goal that changes the map: gather Sun Stones and bring sunken islands back to the surface. Crops, livestock, shipping and friendships help build your life and can contribute to the search. Restored islands open more opportunities for mining, foraging and farming. Plant growth still depends on sunlight and water, while Wonderful Stones change tool capabilities. You can move with the D-pad and use button commands, with stylus controls available for tasks such as handling items.
