How to Play Herbie Rescue Rally
Quick start
Choose New Profile or an existing save, select Play and enter Story mode. Follow the first race instructions and press A as the starting lights turn green for a turbo start. Learn a corner with R and left/right, then collect 53 markers and follow the Herbie Moment instructions when the meter fills.
Controls
The Control Pad steers; A accelerates/confirms, B brakes/cancels and reverses when held. R with left/right performs a powerslide. X uses a power-up or honks the horn, and Y changes camera. Power-ups can also be activated on the touch screen. Follow its prompts during Herbie Moments. START pauses; menus support the Control Pad with A or touch selection.
Herbie Rescue Rally — About this game
Louise enters the Cross State Grand Prix with Herbie to stop Edward Vile from turning her family's animal sanctuary into a sewage dump. Story mode moves through races and unlocks tracks, horns and power-ups for later play. Quick Race revisits unlocked courses, while Tournament awards points against three computer opponents. Race types include ordinary four-car competition, a timed distance challenge with boost patches, and a clock-collecting lap challenge. Collect 53 markers to fill the Happy Herbie meter, follow the target arrow and complete the touch-screen instructions for a special Herbie Moment. Powerslides and well-timed starts offer another way to keep ahead without wasting every item as soon as you collect it.
