How to Play Photon: The Ultimate Game on Planet Earth
Quick start
Press START at the title to begin. Sketch the first corridors and pick up tools while keeping enemies above your firing position. Once you have a loader, use SELECT and the メッセージ entry to inspect collected disks. Match stones to the colored shafts before using them. Before leaving, select パスワード in the submenu and copy the code carefully; choose CONTINUE at the title on your next visit.
Controls
D-pad: move and select menu entries or letters. A: fire upward on the screen; confirm in menus. B: cancel in menus. At a vertical shaft with its matching stone, A ascends and B descends. SELECT opens/closes the submenu. START begins play or toggles pause. The laser cannot fire diagonally.
Photon: The Ultimate Game on Planet Earth — About this game
Photon combines dungeon navigation with real-time shooting rather than sending you along a fixed scrolling stage. The maze rewards keeping track of junctions, investigating walls and finding equipment: a compass gives direction, a counter supplies coordinates, and a sensor flags concealed passages. Disks provide clues once you have a loader. Colored stones let you travel through matching vertical shafts, opening more of the complex. This is the Japanese Famicom release, so its menu text remains Japanese. Passwords preserve progress, but resuming sets energy to 200 instead of restoring your previous stockpile.
