How to Play Fighting Simulator World Champ

Quick start

Press START at the title and choose サーキット. Select a fighter with left/right and confirm with A; Ryuhi is a useful first choice for learning the documented kenpo layout. Pick スタンダード, the easier difficulty, and visible targets. Do not choose れんしゅう for a full run: that practice control mode ends partway through. Follow the coach’s lessons, guarding your own target before attacking the opponent’s opening.

Controls

Standard controls: left/right move and guard middle; Up jumps/guards high; Down crouches/guards low. A and B attack, but their moves depend on style: for Ryuhi’s kenpo, A punches and B kicks, with Up/Down setting height. Left/right+A+B: large jump. Full KO gauge+Up+A+B: finisher. START pauses; SELECT is unused. Practice and Super Technique have different move layouts; do not apply the kenpo example to all fighters.

Fighting Simulator World Champ — About this game

Fighting Wars concentrates on the ring rather than the exploration stages of earlier Hiryu no Ken games. Circuit mode lets you choose a fighter, learn techniques from a coach, and develop attributes while climbing through competitions. Defensive timing matters: protect the marked part of your own body and strike the opening shown on the opponent. Successful defense builds the KO gauge for a finishing technique. Tag Match, an eight-entry VS Tournament, and four-on-four elimination provide different ways to arrange the fighting.
