How to Play Hissatsu Dojo Yaburi

Quick start

Choose かいし with A, select a style, distribute attributes, and enter a name. Practise against nearby roadside fighters before seeking a distant master. Return home after early victories and use しゅぎょう to improve your fighter; visit a doctor when health is low. Save with セーブ at an owned dojo and read messenger reports so an invasion does not catch you far from home.

Controls

D-pad: move/select; up at a building entrance: enter. A: confirm/advance text; B: cancel; START: pause; SELECT is unused. In fights, left/right moves, up jumps, down ducks; up plus left/right gives a diagonal jump. A is generally punch and B kick; weapon styles use A for high and B for low attacks. Combine up/down with attacks for airborne/crouching moves. Attribute allocation: A adds a point, B removes one.

Hissatsu Dojo Yaburi — About this game

Hissatsu Doujou Yaburi mixes side-view fighting with character growth and a changing struggle between martial arts schools. Begin with karate, Shorinji Kempo, or tai chi and allocate your starting attributes. Roadside opponents provide a chance to improve, while a rival dojo must be taken through its pupils, assistant instructor, and any master present. Other masters also invade schools, so the map changes without waiting for you. Training your own followers helps defend captured territory, and doctors offer recovery between battles. Conquering more schools also opens the possibility of learning their styles. Progress depends on preparation and attention to messengers, not just winning a fixed sequence of arena bouts.
