How to Play Fist of the North Star 3
Quick start
Press START and choose a travel record; use an empty one for a new journey, select the text speed and enter a name with the D-pad and A. In a town, face a resident and choose はなす to talk. During a first battle choose こうげき, then confirm a target. Check equipment through そうび, and return to an inn to recover and save your record.
Controls
D-pad: walk and move menu cursors. A: open the command window and confirm selections, including battle targets and name characters. B: cancel the window. START: begin the game. SELECT: unused. Punches and techniques are selected through battle commands, not separate real-time attack buttons.
Fist of the North Star 3 — About this game
This third Famicom outing replaces side-scrolling brawling with an RPG journey. Explore settlements, speak to their inhabitants and prepare your party before choosing commands in battle. Kenshiro is not a fully powered action hero from the outset: experience, equipment and learned techniques matter. The Japanese menus distinguish ordinary attacks, martial arts and pressure-point skills, while HP and OP require attention between fights. Inns provide recovery and a place to register your travel record. The story follows the manga from its opening conflicts toward the Land of Shura; this entry is the original Japanese game, not a fan translation.
