How to Play Fist of the North Star 4

Quick start

Press START, choose たびにでる and follow the record/name prompts. Adjust message speed if needed. In the first settlement, face people and choose はなす for information; check つよさ and equip purchases with そうび. Fight nearby rather than rushing into a long dungeon. Use the inn to restore HP/OP, then visit 修練場 and choose たびのきろく to save.

Controls

D-pad moves your character and menu cursor. A opens the command window and confirms choices; B cancels a window. START begins the game; SELECT is unused. Combat is menu-based: choose こうげき, おうぎ or どうぐ rather than action-button combos. Save through たびのきろく at 修練場, not a dedicated save/pause button.

Fist of the North Star 4 — About this game

Fist of the North Star 4 follows a young martial artist rather than putting an already powerful Kenshiro under your control. Town conversations lead into wilderness travel and random, turn-based battles, with companions joining as the original story unfolds. Secret techniques use OP: offensive fists, weakening techniques and healing pressure points have different jobs, so spending everything on an easy encounter can leave you short later. Weapons and protective gear must be equipped through the menu. Some fights become one-on-one tests even though ordinary exploration allows a party. The original Japanese Famicom game records progress at training facilities, making a visit to town useful for both recovery and saving.
