Honoo no Toukyuuji: Dodge Danpei — About this game
Dodge Danpei for Famicom plays very differently from the action games bearing the same name on other systems. Each exchange starts with a hand of seven cards, from which you select three in the order they will be used. Ordinary shot/catch cards, passes, line-cross cards and super cards create different possibilities depending on who has the ball. A card's HIT marker determines the attacking row, while the defender uses the value in that same row; player ability and the three-card formation also affect the result. Stamina is important, and a player reduced to zero leaves the inner court. Scenario mode follows Danpei's encounters with rival teams, while Battle mode lets you choose a match against the computer. The original game is in Japanese.
