How to Play Stargazers
Quick start
At the title, highlight START with up/down and confirm with A; START is the menu label, not the button required to launch. From the initial field position, walk one tile left to enter the unmarked village of Mamus. Find the woman in its southern building for healing and stay close while building experience. Open commands with A. In early battles choose たたかう rather than unavailable ESP, and read before committing because battle choices cannot always be backed out of.
Controls
D-pad: walk and choose commands; A: open command menu and confirm, including the title choice; B: cancel where permitted, not a universal battle undo; SELECT: change the active party member once companions join; START: pause during play. Face a person and choose はなす to talk; ESP opens available psychic actions. CONTINUE uses a password, ending with FIN, not automatic battery saving.
Stargazers — About this game
Hoshi wo Miru Hito combines a bleak science-fiction setting with an unusually unforgiving Famicom RPG. Minami begins without understanding his surroundings, while robots and psychic hunters pursue people who resist the city's control. Finding allies expands the party and the abilities available for exploration, including breaking barriers and reading minds. The opening is particularly opaque: even the first village has no visible overworld marker. Slow travel, dangerous encounters and restrictive battle choices make preparation matter. This entry is the original Japanese release, not a running-speed hack or the Switch version with rewind and other assists.
