How to Play Hotel Dusk: Room 215
Quick start
Choose your handedness and start a new game. Enter the hotel, approach reception and inspect the counter bell; ring it to meet Dunning. Follow the conversation, fill in the registration form with the stylus and take the Room 215 key. Try the yellow follow-up prompt when it appears.
Controls
Hold the DS sideways like an open book: Touch Screen on the right for right-handed play, reversed for left-handed play. Touch the map in Kyle’s intended direction to walk; touching farther away increases speed. Use the talk, door and search icons when available. Double-tap objects in search view; open the notebook for notes and Save/Load. In door view, double-tap the door to knock or its knob to open.

Former detective Kyle Hyde arrives at Hotel Dusk as a travelling salesman, still searching for his missing partner. Conversations with the owner and guests reveal connections that turn a routine stay into an investigation. You guide Kyle around a floor plan, inspect objects and use collected items to solve puzzles. A notebook keeps character information and handwritten clues together, while careful follow-up questions matter as much as searching every corner of a room.
