How to Play Hugo: The Evil Mirror
Quick start
Choose New Game and enter the first available area, Beaver Fort. Hugo must recover three broken mirror pieces to free his trapped reflection. Freeze the first enemies with B, shoot a frozen enemy again to turn it into a movable ice block, then use blocks to reach switches, exits and hidden treasure. Explore above and below the obvious route because a downward smash can reveal concealed pickups.
Controls
Use the Control Pad to move and A to jump. B fires the freeze weapon; a second shot pushes a frozen enemy as an ice block. Press Up beside a block to lift it and Down to drop it. Hold Down while airborne for a ground smash. L toggles the score/equipment display, START pauses and lets you pan around the stage, and SELECT opens the leave-game yes/no prompt. R is unused.
