How to Play Hyper Sports
Quick start
First ensure the emulator offers Hyper Shot RUN and JUMP inputs. At the title, use SELECT for 1 PLAYER A, the lower qualifying setting, and START to begin. In skeet shooting, press JUMP when a clay enters the left sight and RUN for the right sight. Aim for QUALIFY rather than firing continuously.
Controls
Hyper Shot: skeet uses JUMP for the left sight and RUN for the right. In jumps, tap RUN rapidly for the approach and use JUMP for takeoff/angle. Archery uses either button to set wind, then press/release to shoot and control angle. Standard controller SELECT selects at title; START starts/pauses/resumes. Standard A/B/D-pad are not event controls.
Hyper Sports — About this game
The Japanese Famicom Hyper Sports is a four-event contest: skeet shooting, triple jump, archery and high jump. It is not the arcade game's seven-event program. Progress depends on meeting each QUALIFY target, so accurate timing matters as much as rapid presses. Shooting asks you to match the left or right sight, while the jumping events combine a fast approach with controlled takeoff. The original game requires the Hyper Shot accessory; ordinary controller A, B and the D-pad do not control the competitions.
