How to Play Ice Age 2: The Meltdown
Quick start
Press START, choose New Game and select an empty portrait save slot. Enter the first world and begin with the opening Scrat Rush stage, collecting acorns and reaching the goal while learning Scrat’s jump, double jump and slide. Later puzzle stages switch between Manny, Sid and Diego, so watch the on-screen action symbol and change animals when one character cannot operate an obstacle.
Controls
In Scrat Rush, use the Control Pad to move, A to lunge or bounce, B to jump and press B again for a double jump, R to slide and START to pause. In trio puzzle stages, the Control Pad moves, A performs the contextual action, holding B controls the camera, L/R switches character, SELECT shows the animals and START pauses. Raft sections use A for trunk spray, B to attack, L to reverse and R to move forward.
