How to Play Ice Hockey
Quick start
Press START during the demo, choose 1 PLAYER GAME with the D-pad or SELECT, and press START. Pick teams, a low SPEED and period TIME, then START. On LINE UP, use the D-pad to choose a skater and A to change build; select END and press A. Once you win possession, try an A pass before holding and releasing B for a shot.
Controls
D-pad moves the flashing skater and aims passes/shots; on defense it also moves the goalkeeper. With possession, A passes and B held then released shoots with charge-dependent power. Without possession, A checks/battles and B switches to the skater nearest the puck; hold B to gather defense near goal. START pauses/resumes.
Ice Hockey — About this game
Ice Hockey gives roster choice a direct effect on the match. Slim skaters move quickly and handle face-offs well, heavier players bring stronger checks and shots, and the average build offers a compromise. You choose four skaters before play, then alternate between passing attacks and defending the net across three periods. A prolonged struggle for the puck can turn into a fight and leave one side short-handed. Start at a manageable speed and learn when a pass creates a better shot than holding the puck.
