How to Play Ide Yousuke Meijin no Jissen Mahjong
Quick start
First, check if you can use input equivalent to a dedicated mahjong controller. Select ``Practical Mahjong'', ``Practical Questions'', and ``Meijin League Match'' using the special SEL and decide using ST. If this is your first time, check the rule settings for "Practical Mahjong" and proceed to "Game Start." Pick up a tile with N and press the tile select key that matches the letter on the tile you want to discard. To reach, press the special reach key and then cut the declaration tile, and when you win, use the special long key for either Ron or Tsumo. After each game, look at the score screen and press ST to proceed to the next one. In problem mode, you can select the type and position of the problem using SEL, and start using ST.
Controls
The following is the operation of the original dedicated mahjong controller, which is different from the normal FC pad A and B. A~N: Select/discard the tile corresponding to the displayed character. N: Tsumo. SEL: Selection of mode, setting items, BGM, etc. ST: Start/determine, continue after the end of the game. Kang/Pon/Chi/Reach/Ron: Use for each declaration, and press Ron even when Tsumo ends. If there are multiple chi candidates, specify them using the letter key of the tile used for the chi. To set rules, select an item with SEL, switch on/off with Kang, and return with ST. Select all waiting tiles for practical questions using the corresponding letter keys and answer using ST. The assignment to the keyboard and game pad on the online side cannot be determined from the documentation, so it is not listed.
Ide Yousuke Meijin no Jissen Mahjong — About this game
"Yosuke Ide Master's Practical Mahjong" is a mahjong game for the Famicom that was supervised by professional Yosuke Ide. The game has a unique configuration in which the opponent is a computer, and two players can play against each other. In the easy-to-play ``Practical Mahjong,'' you can set the regular rules, special roles, and BGM, and in the ``Meijin League,'' you advance from the B League to the A League and then to the finals. There are 275 practical questions: 200 questions about what to discard, 25 questions about choosing a waiting tile, and 50 questions about calculating points. In addition to simply winning, you can also learn about the shape of the tiles in your hand and the basis for scoring. In the original version, you use the included special controller and directly specify which tiles to discard using the letter keys that correspond to the tiles on the screen. The input method is different from regular mahjong, which is played using just the cross keys and A and B, so online play requires an environment that supports input from specialized devices.
