How to Play Idol Hakkenden
Quick start
Select START on the title with Up/Down and confirm with A; the physical START button merely skips the opening. In Erika's room choose はなす → ミホ, then はなす → しんじつ twice, followed by なかま → ホシミ. At the building's top floor, consult ホシミ and try エリカ → うたう. Record each end-of-act password for CONTINUE.
Controls
Up/Down selects commands; Left/Right changes command pages when < > appears. A confirms and restarts after game over; B cancels. START skips the opening, not the title-menu confirmation. SELECT and controller II are unused. For passwords, Up/Down changes letters, Left/Right changes position, then A submits.
Idol Hakkenden — About this game
Idol Hakkenden is a menu-driven comedy adventure about Erika Saionji's bid for stardom. Instead of training statistics or rhythm-game performances, you investigate scenes, collect useful objects and choose how Erika should respond to unusual people. Her companions provide different advice, and her own singing, dancing, smile or feigned innocence can unlock a situation. Five acts take the story well beyond its family-inheritance premise. Moving on often requires resolving the current scene, while chapter passwords give a clear way to return later. This entry is the Japanese original, so its command labels remain Japanese.
