The Idolmaster: Dearly Stars puts you in the position of an aspiring performer. Follow one of three stories, meet people through promotional work and improve the idol's image in lesson mini-games. Lessons and the memories gained from encounters support auditions; passing leads to a television performance. Start by listening to the agency advice, then alternate a lesson and a story activity rather than attempting every audition unprepared. Stage camera, dance and clothing design provide further ways to shape a performance after learning the career loop.
