How to Play Go-Go! Nekketsu Hockey Club: Slip-and-Slide Madness
Quick start
Press START, choose しなりお[1P] with the D-pad and A, then leave the password at 0000 and confirm with A. Choose costume and four lineup positions. Use the opening match to practice A passing, B shooting and stopping a dash with the opposite direction. Follow the arrow over the controlled player and watch the goalkeeper when your own goal comes on screen. Record the password shown after choosing やめる at game over.
Controls
D-pad moves/selects; double-tap Left/Right to dash and press the opposite direction to brake. With the puck: A passes, B shoots; without it: A sweeps with the stick, B tackles. A+B jumps. In menus A confirms, B cancels. Player 1 START pauses/resumes and can auto-select the lineup. Goalkeeper: A covers the puck, B catches, either button passes once holding it.

Nekketsu Hockey combines ice hockey with Kunio-style stick attacks, tackles and exaggerated shots. A team fields three skaters and a goalkeeper, with control shifting automatically according to play. Winning in the story develops the club and unlocks uniforms that change abilities and attacks, so preparation is more than cosmetic. Each match has three three-minute periods, and a story-mode tie counts as a loss. In cooperative story play the second player handles the goalkeeper; versus offers two- or four-player arrangements. This is the Japanese Famicom original, not Nintendo's separate Ice Hockey game or a modern collection's extra features.
