How to Play Farmers Rebellion
Quick start
At the title, SELECT moves between one and two players; choose 1-PLAYER and press START. Move with the D-pad and try A when a ninja approaches. Plan a path through the eight coins, avoiding water when escaping. If a ghost prevents attacks, touch a Jizo statue to shake it off.
Controls
Move with the D-pad; A throws a sickle at the closest enemy. B has no assigned use in the original manual. SELECT handles player-count selection before the game, not an in-game menu. START starts a selected mode and toggles pause during play.
Farmers Rebellion — About this game
Survival in Ikki is about finding a route, not defeating every opponent. The Japanese Famicom game puts Gonbe, and Tago in two-player mode, up against a magistrate’s ninja forces. Eight scattered koban clear each area; capturing the magistrate can end it sooner. Throwing a sickle automatically targets the closest enemy, which can make an intended shot go elsewhere. Radishes improve movement speed and scrolls add a life. A bamboo spear changes the attack to a temporary forward strike. The four area types return in an increasingly difficult cycle.
