How to Play Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Quick start
Open the main menu with START and choose Start Game. Begin by checking the first cave ledge for a falling spike, then descend to the torch. Follow the platforms and ropes with the D-pad, jump with A and fight with B. Look for the Cross of Coronado; torches, hearts and hourglasses help you keep exploring.
Controls
D-pad left/right: move; up/down: climb ropes and ladders; down also crouches. A: jump. B: punch or use the selected weapon. SELECT: choose a weapon. START: pause; any button resumes according to the original manual.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade — About this game
The European Ubi Soft release takes Indy from a dim cave system to a circus train, the catacombs, Brunwald Castle and an airship on the way to the Grail trials. It is a six-stage action-platform game rather than Taito’s separate NES adventure. Exploration has a cost: time runs down, cave torches expire, and damage reduces an energy bar before a life is lost. Whips and guns appear after the opening stage, so early encounters rely on fists and careful movement. Required relics and notebook pieces make searching the platforms as important as reaching their far side.
