How to Play International Cricket
Quick start
Choose Fast Game for a quick introduction: the sides and their elevens are assigned before the toss. Use a single match when you want to pick your own side. In Options, set a manageable number of overs and consider automatic fielding while learning. Start with ground strokes and watch where the fielders are before attempting a run. Try lofted shots only once you are reading the delivery; the extra distance comes with a catching risk.
Controls
A confirms selections and plays a ground stroke; B cancels selections and plays a lofted stroke. After the shot, A starts a run and B sends the batsmen back towards their original creases. A or B delivers the ball when bowling and returns it while fielding. START pauses; on the pause screen A shows the batting card, B the bowling figures and SELECT the weather and fall of wickets. Directional input changes the stroke direction.
International Cricket — About this game
International Cricket turns a limited-overs match into a contest of timing and tactical choices. Watch the delivery before committing to a stroke, then decide whether the ball has travelled far enough to risk another run. With the ball, the bowler’s style and the chosen length matter, while moving fielders changes the gaps available to the opposition. Fast Game skips team selection, whereas a single match gives you control over the side. There is also a World Series and practice, so you can learn the batting without immediately committing to a longer competition. This is the 1992 Australian NES release, not the later Super Nintendo game.
