How to Play International Track & Field
Quick start
Choose Practice Mode, select an athlete and an event with A, then press START when ready. Begin with the 100 metres and tap A or B rapidly to run. Learn the directional-pad timing for jumps and throws before trying Hyper Mode. Story Mode is the place to create and train your own athlete.
Controls
The directional pad selects menus and triggers event-specific jumps, throws or lane changes. Repeated A or B runs in sprint events or builds throwing power; in longer races these buttons adjust pace. SELECT enables an available special technique before the event or throw. START pauses. A confirms menu choices and B cancels.
International Track & Field — About this game
Hyper Mode challenges you to complete the full decathlon with athletes who have different strengths. Story Mode begins by creating a competitor and measuring initial ability, then lets you plan training. Heavy training can cause fatigue and injury, making rest part of development. Special techniques add another choice before events, while Practice gives room to learn each event’s timing.
