The adventure uses the stylus for movement, commands, items and the scrolling dial. Select an item, then its target. The Control Pad is also available in dungeons; balloon-page selection uses sliding gestures.

Tingle is drawn into a strange book and seeks the City where dancing with its princess may bring escape. Explore scenes, talk and choose objects from the command dial. Kakashi can enter small gaps, Buriki analyzes things and Lion supplies strength, so match a companion to the obstacle. Love Push uses gifts and the recipient's reactions to develop relationships. Once the balloon is obtained, revisit earlier pages to explore what happened afterward. Start an unused save, inspect the first scene and learn its available commands before deciding which item or companion to use.
