How to Play Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes of Major Championship Golf

Quick start

Start with START and choose one-player Stroke Play. Use the directional pad and A to register yourself, choose Beginner and confirm OK. Press START after registration. Check the overhead layout before driving, and watch the power bar while learning the three-part swing.

Controls

A performs the swing in three taps: begin, set distance, strike for accuracy. Left/right moves the aiming cursor; up/down selects a club. START views the hole overhead. SELECT cycles the scorecard or prize chart and statistics; A closes these views. B cancels registration input. Controller 1 serves golfers 1/3; controller 2 serves 2/4.

Jack Nicklaus' Greatest 18 Holes of Major Championship Golf — About this game

Famous holes are linked into a single eighteen-hole round, so each change of scenery brings a different approach rather than a selection of full courses. Your priorities shift between distance, hazard avoidance and the slope of the green. Choose Stroke Play for an overall score or Skins for hole-by-hole prizes, where a tie leaves the money for a later hole. Up to four golfers can participate, including computer opponents. Beginner supplies distance-based club suggestions; Expert leaves club selection to you. Neither setting removes the need to allow for wind and terrain.
