How to Play Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles
Quick start
Choose The Petty Murder of a Fragile Heart. At the agency, talk to Yulia about yourself, her and the agency, then inspect Yulia and the entrance. Ask Kingsley about his work, the murder, Mary Taylor, the cause of death and witnesses, and accept the case. Move to A.C. Park, inspect the walking path and park, then question Mr. Matthews.
Controls
DS: use the touch-screen command menus to choose Talk, Inspect, Move and available topics. D-pad selects options, A confirms and B returns to the previous menu. L makes Jake pause to think and can suggest the next step. Read every new topic and revisit the command list after inspecting a person or location.

Jake Hunter: Detective Chronicles follows a private investigator through three cases involving a park murder, a disappearance and a death at a racing circuit. Investigation advances through conversation topics, scene inspections and visits to newly available locations. Looking at someone can reveal another question, and returning to a witness after new evidence can change what they have to say. The focus is on reading and following the chain of information rather than courtroom arguments or action puzzles. Jake's reflective moments help organise the case, while chapter-end questions ask you to recall what you have learned. This edition contains its own three-case English script.
