Quick start
Begin the story and read the first destination or request. Visit the available place, speak to the relevant character and inspect your usable items before selecting a command. Resolve the opening encounter, check its result and choose the next objective from the game's own guidance.
Controls
Use the displayed DS controls to steer the repair truck and choose the assigned job. On arrival use the tool panel and follow its touch or button cue for hammering, spraying or another repair action. Read the current task before repeating a gesture; the driving and work sections have different controls.

Jake Power: Handyman makes city repair a sequence of driving and miniature work challenges. Travel to a job in the repair truck, inspect what must be fixed and use the indicated tool action. Tasks include climbing ladders, spraying bugs and hammering nails, with work contributing to the city's repair progress and awards. Vehicle improvements give another use for progress. Begin with the first assigned job, learn one tool's timing and watch the completion feedback before moving to a different repair. Keep the work instructions distinct from the truck's driving controls. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
