How to Play James Cameron's Avatar: The Game
Quick start
Begin the story and read the first destination or request. Visit the available place, speak to the relevant character and inspect your usable items before selecting a command. Resolve the opening encounter, check its result and choose the next objective from the game's own guidance.
Controls
Touch a destination to move Nok and use the displayed weapon panel to select a tool. Tap or gesture as the current combat prompt requests, and consult the upper-screen map for the next route. Stop and select the appropriate tool before interacting with a special obstacle; this DS version is primarily stylus controlled.
James Cameron's Avatar: The Game — About this game
The DS Avatar adventure follows Nok in its own story on Pandora. Move through isometric areas with the stylus, consult the upper map and fight with a staff while finding tools that open new routes. A creature helper or rock-breaking tool changes how you handle an obstacle, so check what the current area needs before circling it again. Collectible lore and Essence support information and upgrades. Begin by learning touch movement and one staff attack, then inspect the next marked objective. This cartridge's Nok adventure has its own character and control scheme. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
