How to Play Jeopardy!
Quick start
Press START at the opening prompt. Move right to choose one, two or three players and confirm with A or B. Choose a skill level and whether to include computer opponents. Enter your name with the D-pad and A/B, select END, then keep a character by answering NO to the change-character prompt. On the board, select a category with left/right and its value with up/down, confirming each with A/B. Buzz in with the D-pad, spell the missing part of the question and select END before time expires.
Controls
START begins setup; SELECT is unused. The D-pad moves through options, categories, values and the alphabet. A or B confirms the highlighted option or character; select the on-screen left-arrow symbol to correct text and END to submit. Players 1 and 2 buzz with the D-pad on their own controllers. In a three-player game, Player 3 shares Controller 1 and buzzes with A or B; letter entry still uses the D-pad and A/B.
Jeopardy! — About this game
Jeopardy! brings the show's answer-and-question format to the NES with a six-category money board. Pick a clue value, race to buzz in, then complete the response using an on-screen alphabet rather than multiple-choice options. Correct responses add money and give control of the next selection; mistakes subtract the clue's value and let the other contestants try. Hidden Daily Doubles allow a separate wager, Double Jeopardy raises the stakes, and eligible players finish with a Final Jeopardy bet. Play alone or with computer opponents, or set up as many as three human contestants using the original game's shared-controller arrangement. Skill settings change the time allowed to enter a response.
