How to Play Journey to the Center of the Earth
Quick start
Start the expedition and learn how the first explorer moves before crossing a gap. Inspect the obstacle and switch to the character whose skill fits it. In Sean's climbing section, move a hand toward a visible hold; finish the touch task and check the next passage before proceeding.
Controls
Follow the DS movement and jump prompts during exploration, switching characters through the offered selection. Touch activities have separate gestures: drag Sean's hands to climbing holds, or follow the tool prompt for an excavation. Read the rope or falling-section controls before assuming a climbing gesture applies there too.
Journey to the Center of the Earth — About this game
The DS film adventure follows Trevor, Sean and Hannah through underground caves, ledges and rivers. Each explorer contributes a different skill: Sean climbs and searches for fossils, Hannah uses a grappling rope and Trevor can clear obstacles with explosives. Exploration is interspersed with touch activities, so switching characters also changes what you should do at a special obstacle. Begin by learning the current explorer's movement in a safe area, then inspect the next barrier before selecting a skill. Climbing asks for deliberate hand placement rather than repeated tapping. Check the passage after a completed task and keep the route in mind as the cave changes perspective. Begin with the opening instructions and practice the main interaction before pursuing optional rewards. Read the current objective, make one deliberate choice and watch its effect before repeating it. A short first session makes it easier to separate a missed instruction from a difficult challenge. Return to the available menu when you need to check progress or adjust your approach, then continue from the next clear objective.
