How to Play Jūōki
Quick start
Press START on the title screen to start from the beginning. Defeat enemies with A punch and B kick, and use up input to jump to deal with approaching objects and flying objects. If you find a white Raskeltwolf, kill it and don't miss the spirit ball that comes out. Collect all three and transform into a wolf, then try A's Energy Blow and B's Flash Attack before taking on the boss. Please also check the display at the bottom of the screen, as the number of people remaining will decrease when LIFE runs out.
Controls
When you are a human, use the left and right cross buttons to move, press up to jump, press up twice to high jump, and press down to crouch. A is a punch, B is a kick. Up + A to jump punch, Up + B to jump kick, Down + A to crouch punch, and Down + B to kick the enemy above. Start with START and pause/resume during play. After transformation, the techniques change, and in Stage 1 Wolf, A is an energy blow and B is a flash attack.
Jūōki — About this game
In the Famicom version of Beast King, you become a beast warrior called back by Zeus and fight monsters to save the kidnapped goddess Athena. In human form, he uses punches and kicks, and collects the spirit balls that appear when he defeats the white Raskelt Wolf to gradually strengthen himself. If you take out the third eye, you will transform into a beastman, and your attack methods will change dramatically. In the first stage, Wolf uses an energy blow that targets distant enemies and a flash attack that quickly charges forward. The key to success is to check each technique, rather than continuing to hit with the same feeling even after transformation. It is a one-person game where you progress through all eight stages, checking the remaining LIFE and number of people as you aim for a showdown with the boss.
