How to Play Jurassic Park
Quick start
Choose ONE PLAYER in the options and select START. Press A to dismiss the DNA story message. Search the opening area for eggs, watching the remaining-egg counter. Collecting them preserves ammunition compared with shooting them. Once the access card appears, pick it up and return to the locked building; approach its door to enter. Use the computer to progress toward Tim’s rescue, and avoid treating every mystery box as a health pickup.
Controls
D-pad: move in eight directions. A: jump where permitted. B: fire where permitted. SELECT: switch to another ammunition type that still has rounds. START: start or pause. On DNA message screens, A exits and B repeats the message. In the raft section, A rows and Left/Right turn the raft; the normal jump/fire rules do not apply to every section.
Jurassic Park — About this game
Jurassic Park on NES is an overhead action adventure built around exploration, shooting and changing objectives. Dr. Grant must rescue two children before finding a way off the island. Searching each area for dinosaur eggs is essential: clearing them can reveal an access card needed for a locked building or computer. Ammunition comes in several strengths and patterns, while mystery boxes may help or harm you. The journey also changes pace with a stampede, a raft trip and a confrontation with the T-rex. The optional two-player mode is cooperative but alternating: control switches when a player loses a life, rather than placing two characters on screen together.
