Choose a boxer and an opening bout, read the boxing guide and practise movement plus one short attack before extending a combination.
Controls
D-pad controls movement and selection. Follow the displayed A/B boxing guide for punches and defensive actions; menu A confirms and B returns where offered. Learn guard timing before repeated combinations.

Use the opening bout to learn distance rather than throwing punches constantly. Try a brief attack, see the opponent's response and move back to a position you can control. Recognising the moment after a missed attack helps you decide when to answer and when to stay guarded.
