How to Play Kalin no Tsurugi
Quick start
After creating a character and starting, first enter Alitania Castle, press A to open the command, select "Enter" or dialogue, and receive the first rod from the king. Move around the field using the cross keys, and battle begins when you make contact with an enemy symbol. In battle, attack the enemy head-on and separate them one by one to avoid being surrounded. Open your inventory with SELECT, equip the item you want to use, then press B to use it. Update your equipment in town, choose reasonable enemies, and earn experience points. Use the START pose to safely check the situation.
Controls
D-pad: Move the main character, move the menu cursor. A button: Call a command, decide on an item. A normal attack in battle is performed by moving toward the enemy and ramming it head-on. B button: Uses the selected equipped item, cancels when the command is displayed. SELECT: Open and close the selection menu of owned items and equip the item to be used. START: Pause during play. To enter characters, use the cross keys to select a character, press A to confirm, and press B to delete the previous character.
Kalin no Tsurugi — About this game
"Karin's Sword" is an action RPG for FDS developed by Crystal Soft. In Alitania, which is threatened by monsters, the protagonist is ordered by the king to search for the missing great magician Gradrif and the sealed holy sword. Explore fields one screen at a time beyond the edges of the screen, and in towns and castles, press A to open commands to select conversations, investigations, stairs, etc. If you touch a wandering enemy symbol, you will enter into a battle with 1 to 8 enemies and attack by ramming them from the direction you are facing. The selected rod etc. will be used in B. Earn experience points and gold by defeating enemies, improve your equipment, and collect mysteries and essential items from all over the place. Since there is no way to escape from battle, it is important to assess the type and number of enemies and create a near one-on-one situation.
