How to Play Kawa no Nushi Tsuri
Quick start
Select START in the title and press the START button to start. The first fishing spot is the shallow part of the river. Go to a place near the water where you can fish, set up your rod with B, select "bait" from the menu in A, and equip the appropriate bait. Press B to throw the float, and the moment it sinks, press B again. When a fish hooks, press B to pull it, then let go while it moves wildly. Fish can be sold at fish shops in town. For the password to restart midway, please select "A" in front of the Jizo statue and write it down.
Controls
D-pad: Move the boy or cursor. A: Open the command window, select and decide on items/bait, stop aiming and attack in battle with animals. B: Close the window, send a conversation, set up a rod at the water's edge, throw a float, match a fish, pull a line. While fishing, use "Pull" to pull only as long as you press B. If you want it to escape, select "Nigasu" with the four-way controller. START: Start. I don't use SELECT.
Kawa no Nushi Tsuri — About this game
A boy who loves fishing sets out on a journey to save his sister, who has fallen asleep, by catching a fish from the river that is said to cure any illness. The player walks through a top-down map, catches and sells fish in the river, and moves forward while gathering food and fishing gear. There are scenes where you fight animals along the way, and you can enjoy battles that emphasize timing, where you watch the points moving above the enemy and land your attacks. Increasing your physical strength with experience points will also help you prepare to fight big fish. When fishing, it is important to adjust the force with which you pull the line, timing the moment when the float sinks, and not pulling too hard when the fish are violent. If the line is cut, your physical strength will be reduced, so you can't be careless when competing with fish. Choose bait that suits each fishing spot, listen to stories from local people, and look for things you haven't seen before.
