How to Play Kineko: The Monitor Puzzle - Vol. II

Quick start

For the menu after startup, use SELECT to send items, and press A to confirm. For the first time, choose 16 pieces and memorize the direction in which the objects flow and the top and bottom in the unfinished video. In puzzles, use the cross button to move your hand, point at the center of the tile and press A to lift it, point to an empty square and press A to place it. By aligning your hands with the left/right flip/vertical flip arrows on the screen and press A, you can correct only that direction. It will be easier to judge if you first create a line of continuous movement in the four corners or the edge of the screen, then connect the rest to the surroundings. Once the lower spare tile is hidden, move it to the left and right edges and scroll.

Controls

Menu: Switch items with SELECT, confirm with A. Puzzle: Use the cross button to move the handprint cursor, and press A to hold the tile/place it on an empty square. Point at the flip horizontally or flip vertically arrow and press A to flip the tile in that direction. Scroll the tile area at the bottom by moving the cursor to the left and right ends. START: Pause. B and SELECT are not used during the game.

Kineko: The Monitor Puzzle - Vol. II — About this game

"Kineko II Kinetic Connection" is a puzzle game for the Famicom Disk System that uses the same mechanism as the previous work and includes 10 new video puzzles. In each problem, a single moving picture is divided into 16, 24, or 48 rectangular tiles, and not only the placement of the tiles but also their vertical and horizontal orientations are disrupted. Since there are no differences in shape like a regular jigsaw, correct adjacency relationships can be determined by observing the moment an object crosses into the next tile, the succession of background lines, and the movement of disappearing at the edge of the screen. There are more similar patterns than in the previous game, making it difficult to distinguish their orientations, so the basic strategy is to start with a small number of pieces and assemble rows and edges that serve as movement standards.
