How to Play King Kong 2: Ikari no Megaton Punch

Quick start

Press START on the title to begin. At the first frontline base, use the cross button to move, and use the B punch to destroy buildings and rocks while searching for items and doors. The distance the punch can reach is short, so don't get close enough to touch the enemy, and also try jumping with A. If you want to throw a rock, press START to open the sub screen, press SELECT to select ROCK, then press START to return. The basic way to proceed is to check the number of rocks remaining and your life while exploring, defeating bosses, and collecting keys.

Controls

Use the cross button to move up/down/left/right. Press A to jump, press B to perform the selected attack. If it's PUNCH, it's a punch, and if it's ROCK, it's a rock you have. START starts the game and switches to the sub screen during play. On the sub screen, press SELECT to select PUNCH/ROCK, and press START to return to the game screen. You can also check the keys you have and the current world here.

King Kong 2: Ikari no Megaton Punch — About this game

"King Kong 2 Fury Megaton Punch" is an action game for the Famicom in which Kong, whose girlfriend Lady Kong has been kidnapped, enters a world where troops and monsters await. You can move up, down, left and right on the screen, and use punches and rock throws to destroy not only enemies but also buildings and rocks. Recovery items and warp entrances may be hidden beneath obstacles, combining the thrill of carving your way through with the exploration of finding your destination. The stage is a total of 9 worlds including frontline bases, jungles, maritime cities, and labyrinths. The 8 keys you get from the boss will be the clues to your rescue. There is a limit to the number of rocks you can have, so it is important to use them properly with punches in close combat. Pay attention not only to your remaining life but also to your feet and avoid falling off the cliff.
