How to Play Kirby: Squeak Squad

Quick start

Touch the title screen, choose an empty file and select STORY. Enter the first Prism Plains stage. Practise jumping with A/Y, inhaling with B and swallowing with Down; only enemies with a power give a Copy Ability. Explore for chests and head for the goal. When a large chest starts a pursuit, keep moving toward the exit. Clear the goal to save progress automatically.

Controls

D-pad: move; double-tap left/right to dash, Up enters doors and Down swallows an inhaled enemy. A or Y: jump; press repeatedly in the air to hover. B: inhale, spit out or use the current Copy Ability. START: pause. X or SELECT: discard the Copy Ability. Touch the lower-screen bubbles to use them; drag compatible bubbles together to mix them.

Kirby: Squeak Squad — About this game

A missing slice of strawberry cake sends Kirby into a treasure hunt that soon crosses paths with the Squeaks. Jumping, hovering and swallowing enemies let you explore each stage, while copied powers open routes and interact with the scenery. The lower screen holds the Copy Palette, where you keep treasure chests, food and ability bubbles in a limited shared space. Touch bubbles to use them or slide them together to mix their contents. Large chests provoke pursuit from the mouse gang, turning the journey to the exit into a chase. Finding treasures gives you reasons to revisit stages and try different abilities.
