How to Play Klax
Quick start
Choose START on the title screen with Up/Down and A. On this Japanese edition's round-selection screen, select the first wave with the D-pad and press Start. Read its objective before placing tiles. Catch with Left/Right, then press A over the column you want. Keep space on the paddle and in the bin; save faster delivery for when you have a placement ready.
Controls
Left/Right move the paddle. A drops its top tile into the bin and confirms title choices. Up tosses a tile back; Down speeds up the incoming tiles. In the Japanese edition, Start begins the selected round and pauses play. The D-pad or Select moves the round-selection cursor.
Klax — About this game
Klax turns a conveyor belt into a placement puzzle. Your paddle catches tiles before they reach the edge, then drops them into a five-by-five bin. Three matching colors form a Klax, whether arranged vertically, horizontally or diagonally. The objective changes between waves: some demand particular alignments, while others count points or catches. A five-tile paddle gives you room to plan, but missed catches consume the drop allowance and a crowded bin leaves fewer options. Flashing wild tiles can complete awkward patterns. This Japanese Famicom edition also offers selectable starting waves and a two-player race to finish wave objectives.
