How to Play Konami Hyper Soccer
Quick start
Press START at the title screen. Choose 1 PLAYER VS COMPUTER with up/down and confirm with START or A. Select your side and the opponent, adjust the ability points and formation, then choose EXIT with A or B. Try short passes with A and long passes with B; move into the shooting area and face goal before attempting a finish.
Controls
D-pad: movement and aiming. In the passing area, A makes a short pass and B a long pass; without possession, A tackles and B heads. Facing goal in the shooting area, A/B shoot with the ball; off the ball, A attempts a volley/overhead kick and B a jumping header. A takes throw-ins. START or A confirms mode/team selection.

Konami Hyper Soccer gives you more to decide before kick-off than its two-button controls might suggest. Pick from 24 national teams, distribute ability points and choose a formation that suits your approach. You can tackle a tournament, arrange a match against the computer or a second player, or go straight to penalties. On the pitch, short passes and lofted balls depend on the direction you aim rather than automatically finding a team-mate. Near goal, positioning and facing determine whether an action becomes a shot, volley or header. Tournament passwords let you return for the next match without starting the campaign again.
