How to Play Krusty's Fun House
Quick start
For a fresh game, press Start at the title and again at the password screen. Enter a room by pressing Up in front of its door. Begin by finding the movable block in the first room: stand on it, press Down, then carry it over to the wall the rats cannot climb. Put it down as a step with Down. Let the rats reach the trap before going back to the entrance. Look around before spending a life on the Last Resort exit.
Controls
Use Left/Right to walk and A to jump. Up enters a door; Down collects a movable object you are standing on or places the carried object. B is for projectiles and kicking suitable blocks at close range. Start pauses and resumes. Select uses Last Resort to leave the room, losing one life. On the password screen, Left/Right move between letters, Up/Down alter a letter and Start submits it.
Krusty's Fun House — About this game
The rats keep walking, but they do not know how to reach the trap. That is the problem at the heart of Krusty's Fun House: you explore each room as Krusty and rearrange the scenery to give them a usable route. A block can become a step, a missing pipe section can connect a passage, and a blower can redirect the group. Carrying only one object at a time makes the order of your moves important. There are platforming hazards and enemies to dodge as well, so reaching a useful item can be its own challenge. Finish the rat-catching job, head back to the door and work towards opening the next section.
