How to Play Kyuukyoku Harikiri Koushien
Quick start
Press START on the title, first select "Nessen MODE" with the four-way controller and press A to confirm. Select your prefecture and school, then decide on your COM school, stadium, and starting order. The match begins when both schools choose ``Ketei'' with A. The standard is A for batting and A for pitching. If you want to leave the catching to the ball, you can turn on the defense auto in "Hokago MODE", but after catching the ball, you will be responsible for throwing the ball yourself.
Controls
Menu: Select with cross keys, confirm with A, cancel with B. Batting: Swing with A, bunt and release with B quickly twice. Base running: advance/steal a base with base direction +B, return to base with base direction +A. Pitching: A, controlled by B. Defense: Move with the D-pad, fine play with A or B. After catching the ball, press direction +A to throw the ball, press direction +B to move to that base. The direction of the bases is right = first base, top = second base, left = third base, and bottom = home base. Time at START. Press and hold A to collect hot blood, and after it flashes, the batter releases it and hits A again.
Kyuukyoku Harikiri Koushien — About this game
``Ultimate Harikiri Koshien'' is a Famicom baseball game based on high school baseball. In addition to ``Nessen'' against COM and ``Kessen'' against two players, in ``Koshien'' you choose a school and aim to win the spring/summer tournament. Even if you lose in the spring, you can still challenge in the summer, but the summer will end with one loss. During the battle, you can use hot blood points to use special pitches and batting techniques, and the techniques change depending on the batter's standing position and directional input. There is also a mode where you can edit school and player data, so you can enjoy not only playing games but also building a team.
