How to Play Law of the West

Quick start

When someone appears on the street and talks to you, first read the response at the bottom of the screen. When the sight is visible, press the bottom of the cross button to turn it off, select the response displayed in blue using the top and bottom buttons, and confirm with A or B. Continue the conversation and find out what the other person's intentions are. To face an enemy who has drawn a gun or who is aiming at your conversation partner, press the top button above the response button to take aim, aim, and shoot with A or B.

Controls

Cross button: Select a response or move the displayed aim. If you move further above the top of the response, the aim will appear. Press down to clear the aim and return to response selection. A: Determine the selected response, fire while the aim is displayed. B: Same function as A. B is not only for cancellation. This is a one-person game that can be played with a regular I controller, and is not intended for use with a ray gun or mouse.

Law of the West — About this game

In Law of the West: Law of the West, you play the role of a sheriff who deals with townsfolk and outlaws. This is a one-person game where you choose from four responses to the other person's statement and change the subsequent reaction and development. Instead of shooting everyone right away, finding a response suitable for a sheriff will lead to a high score. On the other hand, if your opponent pulls out a gun or another enemy aims at your conversation partner, you'll need to move your aim and react quickly. Protect the town until nightfall by using conversational judgment and shooting switching.
